adwarp

Start with 1 prompt.

Paste it into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. Your agent installs Adwarp, walks you through your LinkedIn app and checks the connection.

setup prompt
Set up Adwarp for me. It's the open-source ad agent for LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads: https://github.com/adwarp-dev/adwarp

1. Check that Node.js 20 or newer is installed.
2. Walk me through creating my own LinkedIn developer app with the Advertising API product: https://github.com/adwarp-dev/adwarp/blob/main/docs/linkedin-app.md
3. Save the app's client ID and secret to ~/.adwarp/config.json as clientId and clientSecret.
4. Run "npx -y adwarp auth login" and wait while I approve access in my browser.
5. Add Adwarp to the AI client I'm using right now as an MCP server that runs "npx -y adwarp mcp". In Claude Code that's: claude mcp add adwarp -- npx -y adwarp mcp
6. Check the connection by listing my ad accounts, then save the one I pick as defaultAccountId in ~/.adwarp/config.json.

Don't create or change anything in my ad accounts during setup. LinkedIn campaigns start as drafts, so nothing spends until I turn it on.

LinkedIn Ads reporting from your terminal.

Adwarp is an open-source MCP server and CLI that pulls LinkedIn Ads performance at any level, from the whole account to a single ad. Ask in plain words or run 1 command for spend, click-through rate and cost per conversion, with no dashboard to build.

$ claude mcp add adwarp -- npx -y adwarp mcp

Read the docs

claude ~ flight status

$ claude

> When do the ABM ads end, and how much have we spent?

adwarp.list_campaigns group "ABM 1:1": 13 active

adwarp.get_performance 13 ad sets, since launch: 13 rows

All end Oct 24, 6 days left

64% of the flight budget spent, on pace

01What you can ask

What you can ask. Real requests, answered from your terminal.

claude ~ month over month

$ claude

> How did retargeting do last month vs the month before?

adwarp.performance_trend group "Retargeting", monthly: 2 months

click-through rate 0.38% to 0.57%, +50%

Impressions, clicks, spend and conversions, each with its change

Click-through rate up by half. Want it by ad to see what drove it?

02How it works

How it works.

  1. Ask

Ask in plain words, or run npx adwarp report summary from your terminal.

  2. Pick the level

The whole account, a campaign group, an ad group or a single ad, for any period you name.

  3. Compare

Weekly and monthly trends come back with the change from the period before, so the movers stand out.

03Results

Why it gets better results.

  • You check more often

Performance is 1 question away, so it gets asked daily instead of monthly.

  • Problems surface in days

A weak ad shows up in this week's numbers instead of the month-end export.

  • The report always arrives

A schedule sends the weekly report whether or not anyone remembers.

04FAQ

Questions, answered. From setup to the details.

Ask on GitHub
Can it compare 2 periods?

Yes. performance_trend returns weekly or monthly numbers with the change from the period before, and you can ask for any 2 date ranges in plain words.

Does it replace a dashboard tool?

For the questions you ask every week, it can: you ask in your terminal instead of building a view. If your team wants shared charts, keep the dashboard and use Adwarp for the quick reads.

Which metrics can I get?

What are the limits?

3 things to know before you start.

  • LinkedIn shares no person-level ad data, so reports go down to the ad, never the person.
  • Conversions only show when conversion tracking is set up.
  • Reports only list ad groups and ads with spend. To see drafts, use list_campaigns.
